Court extends Rajab Butt's interim bail
Large number of lawyers, supporters were present inside, outside court premises

A district and sessions court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of TikToker Rajab Butt and co-accused Nadeem Mubarak in a case pertaining to the alleged promotion of a gambling application.
The interim bail petitions of the accused were heard by a district and sessions court judge. Both Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak appeared before the court upon the expiry of their interim bail.
During the proceedings, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) sought time to submit the investigation report and complete record of the case.
Accepting the request, the court adjourned the hearing and directed the investigation officer to submit the report on the next date of hearing.
Strict security arrangements were made at and around the court premises due to security concerns.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Islampura police station, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), along with around 100 police officers, were deployed to maintain law and order.
A large number of lawyers and supporters were present inside and outside the court premises; however, police restricted access to the accused.
After marking their attendance, Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak left the court, while their counsel later presented arguments.
The court will resume hearing the matter on the next scheduled date after submission of the investigation report.
