PTI wants talks, but Imran blocks the way: Kaira
Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that although Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders appeared keen on negotiations, the real obstacle to dialogue was the party's jailed founder, Imran Khan himself.
He said that the prevailing deadlock on both sides made it unlikely that talks would move forward.
Speaking on the Express News programme Centre Stage, Kaira said the PTI founder was personally blocking the negotiation process despite willingness within his party ranks. He maintained that PTI needed to create political space for dialogue with other political parties if it genuinely wanted negotiations to proceed.
