The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial cabinet will hold an important meeting today (Monday), with strong expectations of major policy and administrative decisions. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will chair the session, which will be attended by provincial ministers and secretaries of various administrative departments.
The meeting's agenda has been kept confidential; however, official sources said that a special briefing on the prevailing security situation in the province will be presented to the cabinet. In addition, members will deliberate on development projects and other significant administrative matters.
The cabinet will consider at least 15 agenda items during the meeting, covering governance, development priorities, and departmental affairs. Important decisions regarding government employees are also expected, as certain sections' staff were summoned on Sunday in connection with the meeting.
The cabinet session was initially scheduled to be held on Friday, but the schedule was later revised, and the meeting was deferred to today. Observers believe the outcomes of the meeting may have far-reaching implications for the province's administrative and security framework in the coming days.
