Hazara Culture Day celebrated

Celebrations saw Hazarawal people donned traditional attire, participated in folk dances, speeches, traditional games

KARACHI:

The metropolis witnessed a vibrant display of tradition and unity on Sunday as the people of the Hazara division celebrated Hazara Culture Day with rallies, music, and cultural programmes across multiple parts of the city.

Rallies and cultural activities were organised in various areas, including Baldia Town, Quaidabad, and Khwaja Ajmer Nagri, while multiple processions concluded at the Clock Tower, Sea View Clifton.

Major central events were held at Sea View Clifton under the auspices of the Hazara Province Movement, at Labour Square in Baldia Town by Tehreek-e-Inqilab Suba Hazara, at the Karachi Press Club by Tehreek-e-Ittehad Hazara Pakistan, and at Railway Ground Kala Pul by the Hazara Tribes Consultative Council. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at the Karachi Press Club to mark the occasion, attended by PPP Member of the Sindh Assembly Farooq Awan and Mukhtiar Tanoli.

The celebrations witnessed vibrant cultural displays as Hazarawal people donned traditional attire and participated in cultural exhibitions, folk dances, music performances, speeches, and traditional games. Renowned Hazara singers Yasir Kashmiri, Bashir Gujar Hazara, Yousaf Hazara, Azam Hazara, and others performed traditional songs, earning applause from the audience.
