Pistol snatched from victim during altercation

DIJKOT:

A man allegedly shot and killed his father and injured his mother over a family dispute.

Police took the body into custody and handed it over to the heirs after post-mortem.

According to the police, the incident occurred in Ghokhwal, Gulshan Sandal Colony, where Muhammad Shahbaz Kumboh reportedly had an argument with his son Danish Ali. During the altercation, Shahbaz allegedly picked up a pistol and pointed it at his son.

Danish allegedly snatched the pistol from his father and fired multiple shots, hitting Shahbaz. A bullet also hit his mother, Nusrat Bibi.

Both were shifted to Allied Hospital, where Shahbaz succumbed to his injuries.

Multan Town police reached the spot and took possession of the body for post-mortem.

Based on a statement by Muhammad Iqbal, the police registered a case against Danish on the charges of murder and attempted murder and launched raids to apprehend him.

Meanwhile, a former employee who had been dismissed from service in a shop, opened fire, injuring the shopkeeper and a passer-by. According to sources, the incident occurred in the Douglas Pura Main Bazaar area where Shan runs a shop and had employed a worker, Umar, who was accused of misappropriating goods and fired.

Enraged over his dismissal, Umar, along with his friend Irfan Dogar and other accomplices, allegedly came to the shop and opened fire. As a result, the shopkeeper Shan and a passer-by, Sohaib, suffered injuries.

The injured were provided first aid and shifted to a hospital by a Rescue 1122 team. The police reached the scene, collected evidence, and initiated legal proceedings.
