Two suspects injured in 'Vehari encounter'

Two suspected drug peddlers were injured during an alleged encounter with Karmpur police near Pul Sahoo on Saturday. Police officials said the incident occurred during a checkpoint operation when officers attempted to check a suspicious mini Mazda van. Meanwhile, three armed suspects in another vehicle opened fire on the police party, prompting retaliatory firing in self-defence. During the exchange, two suspects were injured by gunfire from their own accomplices.
