Overseas man gets e-challan for parked bike
SFA e-challan management system
An overseas Pakistani received an e-challan despite his motorcycle being parked at home at the time of the reported violation.
According to sources, a traffic violation was recorded on December 28 through Safe City cameras, showing a motorcyclist riding without a helmet.
An e-challan was issued against the registered vehicle.
However, the motorcycle's owner said the vehicle was at his residence at the time, indicating that a fake number plate bearing the same registration number was being used by another person.
The e-challan reportedly includes footage of the rider's face, which does not match the registered owner.
The owner's brother Qasim Munir submitted an application to the Muslim Town police, seeking action against the unidentified suspect using a fake number plate.
