PPP vows to carry forward BB's mission

PESHAWAR:

A condolence and prayer ceremony was held in Peshawar under the auspices of City Metropolitan Peshawar to mark the death anniversary of Shaheed-e-Jamhuriat Benazir Bhutto. A large number of party office-bearers, senior leaders and workers attended the event, where special prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the former prime minister.

Speakers at the ceremony paid rich tribute to Benazir Bhutto for her historic sacrifices for the restoration of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, protection of public rights and her unwavering struggle against dictatorship. They described her as a courageous and visionary leader who played a defining role in Pakistan's political history and whose sacrifices would always be remembered by the nation.

The speakers said that Benazir Bhutto symbolized resistance, democratic values and the voice of the common people, adding that her political struggle continues to inspire generations.

Those present at the ceremony included Senior Vice President Syed Ayub Shah, Deputy Secretary Information Syed Tahir Abbas, Deputy General Secretary Malik Saeed.
