Ice Spice makes appearance at NYC ‘SpongeBob Movie’ screening

Ice Spice made a playful fashion statement at the New York City screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, stepping out in a sheer white lace dress that revealed a coordinating bikini bottom underneath.

The 25-year-old rapper embraced a tongue-in-cheek take on method dressing for the event, nodding to Bikini Bottom, the underwater home of SpongeBob SquarePants, with a daring Blumarine number featuring a sweetheart neckline, delicate tulle panels and a ruffled hem.

Under the see-through dress, Ice Spice wore an ivory bra and matching thong, completing the ensemble with white platform mules and a sparkling cross necklace. Her signature pink hair was styled in voluminous waves as she posed alongside costumed SpongeBob and Patrick characters on the red carpet.

The screening marked a celebratory moment for the Bronx native, who voices a ticket taker in the animated film and contributed an original song, “Big Guy,” to the soundtrack.

The rapper has long spoken about her love for the franchise, frequently referencing SpongeBob in interviews, and even naming a 2023 track “Bikini Bottom.”

The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants opens in theaters Friday and follows SpongeBob on an underwater adventure as he sets out to prove himself to Mr. Krabs.
