Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jean Smart are among the nominees at the 2026 AACTA International Awards

Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jean Smart have been named among the nominees for the 2026 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts International Awards, which recognise film and television achievements across eleven categories.
Chalamet and DiCaprio are both nominated for Best Lead Actor in Film for their performances in Marty Supreme and One Battle After Another. They face competition from Russell Crowe for Nuremberg, Joel Edgerton for Train Dreams and Hugh Jackman for Song Sung Blue.
The Best Lead Actress in Film category includes Jessie Buckley for Hamnet, Rose Byrne for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson for Song Sung Blue, Chase Infiniti for One Battle After Another and Renate Reinsve for Sentimental Value.
Several major productions appear across multiple categories, including Hamnet, Marty Supreme, Nuremberg, One Battle After Another and Sinners, which are all nominated for Best Film.
Other film categories cover supporting performances, direction and screenplay, with filmmakers such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Ryan Coogler, Guillermo del Toro, Josh Safdie and Chloé Zhao recognised for their work.
In television, Jean Smart is nominated for Best Actress in a Series for Hacks. She is joined in the category by Erin Doherty for Adolescence, Keri Russell for The Diplomat, Sarah Snook for All Her Fault and Michelle Williams for Dying for Sex.
The Best Actor in a Series nominees include Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham for Adolescence, Gary Oldman for Slow Horses, Seth Rogen for The Studio and Noah Wyle for The Pitt.
The nominated drama series are Adolescence, Severance, Slow Horses, The Diplomat and The Pitt, while comedy series recognised include Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, The Bear and The Studio.
The AACTA Festival will run from February 4 to 8 2026, with the awards ceremony scheduled for February 6 at the Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast in Australia.
