A teaser trailer for the new Street Fighter live-action film has been released, offering the first official look at Chun-Li, Ken, Ryu and additional characters from the long-running video game franchise. The trailer premiered during The Game Awards 2025, where members of the cast appeared on stage to introduce the footage.

The film is set in 1993 and follows the storyline outlined in the official synopsis. It states, “Estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s game over!”

Alongside Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo and Callina Liang, the cast includes Cody Rhodes as Guile, Orville Peck as Vega, 50 Cent as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Oliver Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli and Alexander Volkanovski as Joe.

The film is directed by Kitao Sakurai with a screenplay by Dalan Musson. Production involves Legendary in partnership with Capcom, the Japanese studio behind the original game series. Paramount Pictures is handling distribution.

Street Fighter is scheduled to be released in cinemas on October 16 2026. A teaser trailer is available to view following its debut at the event, marking the first promotional material for the forthcoming adaptation.
