Timothée Chalamet has finally responded—at least partially—to the viral fan theory linking him to the anonymous UK rapper known as EsDeeKid.

The 29-year-old actor is currently promoting his upcoming film Marty Supreme in London, where speculation around his possible secret rap persona has reached new levels thanks to TikTok sleuths and EsDeeKid’s rising popularity.

Chalamet was photographed on Thursday wearing branded wardrobe pieces tied to Marty Supreme as he headed to a radio appearance. During his interview with Heart, the host brought up the rumor that has dominated social media for weeks: Is Chalamet actually the voice behind EsDeeKid’s breakout tracks “LV Sandals,” “Phantom,” and “4 Raws”?

EsDeeKid’s music has exploded on TikTok, with many listeners pointing out similarities in vocal tone, cadence, and even stylistic choices that remind them of Chalamet’s public persona. Some fans insist the actor is trolling the internet with a hidden music career, while others believe the resemblance is simply coincidental.

At first, Chalamet played coy, responding with a simple “no comment.” After a moment of hesitation, he added, “I got two words on that.” Realizing the tease wasn’t enough, he followed up with a cryptic promise: “All will be revealed in due time.” His response only deepened the mystery, sending fans online into another round of speculation.

While Chalamet has previously shown musical ability—most notably in Wonka—he has never publicly released rap music. EsDeeKid, meanwhile, continues to avoid revealing his identity, fueling the growing theory.

Whether Chalamet is simply enjoying the buzz or hinting at a bigger surprise, the internet will be watching closely for the reveal he promised.
