Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky’s 14-year marriage is reportedly under strain as the actor attempts to balance his Hollywood commitments with family life in Australia. According to Globe, sources claim the couple are navigating increasing pressure caused by distance and demanding professional schedules.

Hemsworth, 42, is said to spend much of his time filming in the United States, while Pataky, 49, remains in Australia with their three children. Although she has taken on fewer projects than her husband, sources state that Pataky also works on location in Europe.

One insider described the situation by saying, “Chris is away so much, he’s generally shooting in America while Elsa stays in Australia with the kids.” The insider added that those close to the couple have observed that they “really drifted apart” and that Hemsworth has expressed concerns that “things are just off track.”

According to the report, Hemsworth has turned to close friends Matt and Luciana Damon for guidance as he tries to navigate the challenges. A source said, “Matt is very sympathetic. He and Lucy were at rock bottom not that long ago — he had even stopped wearing his wedding ring. Everyone was saying a split was coming but then they pulled back from the brink.” The source added that the couple committed to therapy and spending more time together.

The insider stated that Damon has encouraged Hemsworth to take similar steps, observing the affection between Hemsworth and Pataky and advising him to prioritise time with his family. As the couple’s 15th wedding anniversary approaches, Damon has reportedly urged Hemsworth to plan a getaway without the children.

According to the source, “Even the smallest sign from Chris that he is willing to fight for his marriage would go a long way with Elsa.” The source added that there remains “a huge amount of love between them,” with both needing to “find their way back to each other.”
