A24 has released the first trailer for The Drama, a dark comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as an engaged couple whose relationship slowly unravels in spectacular fashion.

Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film marks the Norwegian filmmaker’s fourth feature and his second English-language project following A24’s Dream Scenario (2023), led by Nicolas Cage.

The Drama follows Zendaya and Pattinson as two lovers preparing for marriage while simultaneously losing control of their sanity, careers, and emotional stability. The trailer teases a mix of psychological chaos and razor-sharp humor, showcasing the pair’s intense chemistry and spiraling breakdowns. The supporting cast includes Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, and Hailey Gates.

A24 will release the film in theaters on April 3, kicking off what is set to be a massive year for the two stars. Zendaya and Pattinson will reunite twice more in 2026—first in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, arriving July 17, where Zendaya plays Athena and Pattinson appears as Antinous. Later that year, both return for Dune: Part Three, the conclusion to Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi trilogy. Zendaya reprises her role as Chani, while Pattinson joins the franchise in a still-mysterious role rumored to be Scytale from Dune: Messiah.

Pattinson recently appeared opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love, while Zendaya last starred in Luca Guadagnino’s hit film Challengers. She will also return as Rue in Season 3 of HBO’s Euphoria and swing back into the MCU in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing July 31.

With its star-powered cast and Borgli’s signature dark humor, The Drama is shaping up to be one of A24’s most anticipated films of 2025.
