Pakistan's top solar provider retains tier 1 status for eighth straight quarter
.

As Pakistan enters a decisive chapter in its energy transition, global clean-tech player Trina Storage has achieved another significant milestone: recognition as a Tier 1 Energy Storage Manufacturer by BloombergNEF (BNEF) for the eighth consecutive quarter.
The distinction places Trina Storage among the most bankable and trusted providers worldwide. With eight consecutive quarters of Tier 1 recognition, Trina Storage stands among the longest-standing record holders in the industry.
“Eight consecutive recognitions from BNEF are not just a milestone but a reflection of enduring trust from our partners around the world,” said Mr Yang Bao, President of the Energy Storage Division at Trinasolar. “Trina Storage remains committed to delivering reliable, innovative, and future-ready energy storage solutions that enable a sustainable, net-zero future.”
In recent months, Trina Storage has announced a series of notable developments across multiple continents, including a multi-gigawatt-hour collaboration in Asia-Pacific, key partnerships in Europe and North America, and the start of work on one of Latin America’s largest standalone battery storage projects.
This comes alongside a recent MoU with Pacific Green Energy Group under which Trina Storage will supply up to 5GWh of grid-scale battery systems between 2026 and 2028—capacity capable of storing and dispatching enough electricity to strengthen national grids.
As of the first half of 2025, Trina Storage’s global cumulative energy storage system shipments exceeded 12GWh, and annual shipments are expected to reach 8GWh in 2025, reaffirming its strong position in the global market.
Pakistan’s accelerating interest in solar energy continues to be driven by two everyday realities: rising electricity tariffs and recurring grid instability. Households, industries, retailers, and offices are now turning to rooftop solar not just as an environmental choice but as a financial survival strategy.
As solar rapidly expands across rooftops and industrial sites, Pakistan’s next major challenge is clear: scalable energy storage. Trina Storage’s Tier 1 milestone signals that the global storage industry is ready—just as Pakistan reaches a critical moment in its own energy transformation.
