Pakistan's Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal clinch IBSF World Cup Team Snooker 2025 title
They defeated Hong Kong 2 in the final

Three-time World Champion Muhammad Asif paired with Asjad Iqbal outclassed Hong Kong China-2's Chau Hon Man and Nansen Wan 3–2 in a thrilling final of the World Cup Team Snooker 2025 on Sunday night in Muscat.
Asif and Asjad booked their pace in the final after defeating India 2 in a one-sided match 3-1 during the semifinal, while Hong Kong China 2 fought compatriots Hong Kong China 1 in their semifinal.
Both Asif and Iqbal produced a masterclass in break-building, firing decisive contributions of 82, 100, and 104, each delivered at crucial junctures of the match. Their ability to maintain composure under pressure, convert half-chances, and control the pace of play established the backbone of their title-winning performance, according to a match report on the IBSF website.
Every tactical battle was approached with clarity, and every scoring opportunity was seized with conviction. When the contest tightened, Pakistan’s rhythm and tournament experience shone through, guiding them steadily toward the crown.
While Pakistan ultimately held their nerve in the decisive frame, Hong Kong China-2’s performance was marked by grit, structure, and exceptional tactical maturity. Their resilience added immense value to a final that lived up to its billing as a world-class showdown.
Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association was fielding five cueists in the world championships.
Shahid Aftab, Muhammad Sajjad, Asjad Iqbal, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar.
They played the individual championships from November 3 to 13.
Asif was defending his title.
England’s Harvey Chandler won the individual title after he defeated Asjad Iqbal 5–2.
