Cops, woman among kidnapping suspects

Shocking revelations have emerged in the kidnapping of two citizens from Garden area, where abductors demanded a ransom of Rs3 billion. Investigations indicate that a girl and police officials from Karachi and Balochistan were involved in the crime.

Sources said a woman named Kanwal allegedly facilitated the kidnappers in Karachi. Victims Aamir and Shahzaib were abducted along with their vehicle on September 23 and held at an undisclosed location in Khuzdar, Balochistan. The case was taken up by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) and CPLC.

Investigators found that a Karachi police constable, posted in District Keamari, helped transport the victims through Hub check-post into Balochistan. A CTD official from Balochistan was also allegedly involved. Karachi police constable Abdullah has been arrested; sources claim he was promised the smallest share of the ransom, which he never received after the victims were freed.

AVCC, CPLC and intelligence agencies conducted raids to recover the victims.
