Plant sciences termed key to sustainability
Over 200 research papers were presented in an international conference organised by the University of Education's Botany Department.
The 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Plant Sciences brought together scientists, researchers, and botanists from Pakistan, China, Türkiye, the United States, Malaysia, Australia, Iran, Indonesia, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, and several African countries.
The presentations culminated in the formulation of recommendations in areas such as plant physiology, ecology, and sustainable agricultural development.
Addressing the participants in the closing ceremony, University of Education Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Alam Saeed said plant sciences would play a pivotal role in achieving global sustainability goals.
