Klay Thompson has publicly condemned former NBA players Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley for comments made about his girlfriend, rapper Meg Thee Stallion.

The remarks were shared during the “Hoopin’ N Hollerin’” podcast on November 12, where Williams, also known as “White Chocolate,” and Beverley discussed Thompson’s relationship with Meg in a manner the NBA star found offensive.

During the podcast, Williams suggested that Thompson’s romantic relationship could be affecting his performance on the court, using crude language to describe Meg Thee Stallion. Thompson, currently playing for the Dallas Mavericks, responded on Instagram, calling the comments “disgusting and disturbing.” He emphasized that such language is unacceptable, especially coming from former professional athletes, and urged them to “do better.”

Thompson’s post drew attention not only to the comments but also to the broader conversation about respect toward women in professional sports. He highlighted how inappropriate it would be to make similar remarks about other players’ spouses or partners.

Meg Thee Stallion has not yet publicly responded to the controversy. Thompson, who averaged 8.5 points per game and shot 38.9% from three-point range this season, has maintained a visible public relationship with the rapper since going public last offseason. She has been supportive of him at games despite his on-court struggles.

The incident has sparked reactions across social media, with fans and commentators weighing in on both the podcast remarks and Thompson’s response, highlighting ongoing discussions about respect, professionalism, and personal boundaries within the NBA community.
