RAWALPINDI:

The Murree Administration conducted large-scale emergency drills to prepare for any untoward situation during the upcoming winter season, when heavy snowfall is anticipated.

The exercises were aimed at testing the district's ability to reach stranded citizens, move them to safety and ensure rapid relief and shelter when required.

The drills covered road clearance in harsh weather, snow removal, restoring traffic after landslides and removing fallen trees, poles and wires, along with providing immediate shelter to affected citizens.

Senior officers and teams from multiple departments, including Rescue 1122, City Traffic and others took part.
