Sukkur police claim killing eight robbers

Sukkur Range police on Sunday claimed killing eight bandits in its ongoing operation in Raunti, a riverine area in Ubauro, Ghotki district.
Shahnawaz alias Shahu Kosh who, as per Sukkur's DIG Faisal Abdullah Chachar, was carrying head money because of his alleged involvement in a savage attack on Rahimyar Khan's police in Punjab last year which had martyred 12 cops, is also among the slain bandits. The Sukkur police have also linked the slain suspects with a range of crimes including deadly attacks on police, kidnappings, robberies and killings.
The eliminated gangsters, wanted for scores of murders and other violent crimes across Sindh and Punjab, were identified as
Sobho Gonu, Balo, Gahi Shar, who was wanted for murder of five cops and other serious charges. Akbar Akbri, accused in multiple abductions and killings, including two police constables. Shahnawaz Shahu Shar, carried a rupees 50 lakh bounty for murders of a dozen cops in Rahim Yar Khan and other atrocities. Jagn Vedio Kosh, killed five police in Basti Kee amid gang wars.
Ghulam Ghalamo, linked to over two dozen heists and police murders. Nazir Manjhi Shar, a suspect in string of armed robberies and assaults. Ghosho Gulshair, charged with aggravated kidnappings and ransom demands and Qurban Wazir Shar, a criminal history sheeter.
Larkana Range
The Larkana Range police shot dead 176 suspected outlaws, mainly bandits, and injured 575 other suspects in some 2,390 police encounters, occurring over a span of the last two years. The spokesman of DIG Larkana, whose jurisdiction includes Lakarna, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kambar-Shahdadkot and Kashmore-Kandhkot districts, informed on Sunday that 75 dacoits also surrendered to Larkana police during the same time.
The spokesman further claimed that the Larkana Range police foiled kidnappings of 1,033 people and recovered 413 hostages from the bandits. According to him, DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab Pathan has been repeatedly conveying the message of surrender before the police to the dacoits of the riverine areas as well as to the other criminals.
