Report prompts repair of GT Road section
.

Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan took notice of The Express Tribune report highlighting the dilapidated condition of GT Road in Gujranwala Division, ordering swift repair work that was completed within a week.
The newspaper had reported that due to the National Highway Authority's negligence, the stretch from Gakhar to Rahwali had developed deep potholes, causing frequent tyre bursts and motorcycle accidents.
Following the report, the minister directed NHA officials to take urgent action. Within days, the authority filled potholes, levelled the surface, and completed carpeting work along the damaged sections.
The repair has significantly reduced the risk of accidents and improved traffic flow. Residents appreciated the minister's quick intervention and thanked The Express Tribune for bringing the issue to light, saying that timely media reporting had brought much-needed relief to the public.
