Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, met Assistant Secretary Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Paul Kapur, at the State Department on Saturday. The meeting was announced by both officials on X (formerly Twitter).

The dignitaries “discussed ways to advance the US-Pakistan relationship,” said Kapur’s tweet.

Similarly, Sheikh detailed in his own tweet that the two discussed “ways and means of translating the resolve–expressed at the leadership level” in regards to developing ties between the US and Pakistan, into what is an economically entrenched strategic partnership.

This, Sheikh said, may be done through “sustained engagement in multiple domains of mutual interest.”
