Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair’ finally set for theatrical release
Quentin Tarantino’s four-hour cut of Kill Bill, “The Whole Bloody Affair,” hits theaters for the first time

Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,” marking the first-ever theatrical release of Quentin Tarantino’s complete four-hour cut of his iconic action saga.
Originally screened only at select events and film festivals, this extended version merges “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Vol. 2” into a single 281-minute epic, complete with a 15-minute intermission.
The film will officially hit North American theaters on December 5, 2025, with Lionsgate planning both wide releases and exclusive 35mm and 70mm screenings for die-hard fans. This comes after the movie’s limited 2024 engagement at Tarantino’s Vista Theater in Los Angeles, where it was projected from the filmmaker’s personal print used at its Cannes 2006 premiere.
Originally conceived as one feature, “Kill Bill” was divided into two installments due to its length. Released in October 2003 and April 2004, the two films collectively grossed over $330 million worldwide, cementing Uma Thurman’s role as the Bride among cinema’s most memorable heroines. Tarantino first premiered the full version at Cannes, but it hasn’t seen a widespread release until now.
Fans can expect restored visuals, authentic film projections, and the original sequence as Tarantino intended — with no cuts between the vengeance-fueled chapters.
This long-awaited theatrical debut not only fulfills a two-decade promise from Tarantino but also celebrates the enduring legacy of “Kill Bill” as one of modern cinema’s most influential action films.
