Hilary Duff Releases First New Song in 10 Years, ‘Mature’, Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio Reference
Hilary Duff returns to music after 10 years with her new single ‘Mature’, which includes a Leonardo DiCaprio nod

Hilary Duff has released her first new single in a decade, marking her long-awaited return to music. The track, titled Mature, debuted on Thursday, November 6, alongside a music video produced under Warner Music Group.
In a press release, Duff said the song reflects a conversation between her present and younger self. “‘Mature’ is a little conversation that my present self is having with my younger self,” she explained.
“The two of us are reflecting on a past experience and sending love to each other. It’s a chuckle, a wink and a sense of being grateful that we are sure-footed in where we landed.”
The lyrics include the line, “Very Leo of you / With your Scorpio touch / Now now,” which listeners have interpreted as a reference to Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor, 50, is known for relationships with younger women and is currently dating model Vittoria Ceretti, 27.
In the chorus, Duff continues, “She looks / Like all of your girls but blonder / A little like me just younger / Bet she loves when she hears you say / You’re so mature for your age, babe.”
The music video shows Duff performing on stage in a gold sequined dress as a younger version of herself watches from the audience. Duff co-wrote Mature with her husband, musician Matthew Koma, and songwriter Madison Love, known for her work with Kesha and Dove Cameron.
Duff, who last released an album in 2015 titled Breathe In. Breathe Out., said she “always knew” she would return to music but needed time to grow and reflect.
“Mature” is now available on streaming platforms worldwide.
