Lego has announced its first-ever Star Trek set, featuring a detailed model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The 3,600-piece set will launch on November 28 2025, retailing for $399.99, and is recommended for builders aged 18 and over.

The Enterprise D appeared throughout The Next Generation (1987–1994) and in the 1994 film Star Trek: Generations. Lego’s new version captures the starship’s signature saucer section, secondary hull, and warp nacelles, complete with red and blue detailing.

The model also includes a detachable command saucer, two mini shuttlepods, and a shuttlebay that opens.

To celebrate the launch, Lego and Paramount Products & Experiences will host events on Black Friday, including a meet-and-greet with designer Hans Burkhand Schlömer at the Lego Store in London’s Leicester Square.

Fans who purchase the set before December 1 will receive a bonus Type-15 Federation shuttlepod named Onizuka — a tribute to astronaut Ellison Onizuka, who died in the 1986 Challenger disaster.

Actor and director Jonathan Frakes, who portrayed Commander William Riker in The Next Generation, said in a statement: “As Commander Riker, I spent a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise, and now fans can take the helm themselves in Lego brick form. This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece.”

The Lego Icons Star Trek: USS Enterprise D set also includes nine minifigures representing the main crew: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Riker, Data, Worf, Beverly Crusher, Geordi La Forge, Deanna Troi, Guinan, and Wesley Crusher.

With Star Trek’s enduring popularity, the release marks a major crossover between two global brands, offering fans the chance to build one of television’s most recognisable starships.
