The speculation began on November 5, 2025, when pop culture news account @PopTingz on X (formerly Twitter) posted that the Rhode skincare founder and model — who is married to singer Justin Bieber — was planning to enter the music industry. Neither Bieber nor her representatives have confirmed the reports.

The rumor quickly went viral, generating thousands of reactions online. Many users responded with sarcasm, calling the move either a “recession indicator or divorce soft-launch.” Some questioned her singing abilities, joking that the model might rely heavily on autotune, while others compared her to Kylie Jenner, who recently made her own music debut under the stage name King Kylie with the single Fourth Strike alongside Los Angeles duo Terror Jr.
Several fans also accused Hailey of mimicking Selena Gomez, her husband’s ex-girlfriend, referencing past comparisons between Bieber’s beauty brand Rhode and Gomez’s Rare Beauty. Despite the criticism, a few supporters defended Hailey’s right to explore new creative ventures.
The rumors surfaced just days after Bieber was honored with the Beauty Innovator Award at the Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards 2025 in New York City. During her acceptance speech, she expressed gratitude for being recognized in the beauty industry, saying she was “incredibly humbled” and proud to contribute to a field “that has embraced me.”
Earlier in October, Bieber addressed ongoing comparisons between Rhode and Rare Beauty during an interview with WSJ. Magazine, calling it “annoying being pitted against other people.” She emphasized that she didn’t feel competitive, adding that there was “space for everybody.”
Hailey Bieber, who shares a 14-month-old son, Jack Blues, with Justin Bieber, has not publicly commented on the music rumors.
