LAHORE:

Islamabad witnessed an unforgettable evening of passion, artistry, and cross-cultural harmony as 'Indeed by Zee' presented an enthralling Flamenco performance by the 'Flamenco Dance Group' at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). The event was held in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain, PNCA Islamabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Culture Exchange Authority, South Air, Union Global Termit Aesoria Externjaria, and Flamenco Barcelona.

The evening came alive with the fiery elegance of Spanish flamenco, a dance that transcends borders, telling stories of love, struggle, and triumph through rhythm and movement.

The renowned Spanish Flamenco Dance Group captivated the audience with a spellbinding performance, embodying the essence of Spanish art and emotion. Members of the diplomatic and cultural community attended the event, celebrating the shared language of art and unity between Spain and Pakistan. The event stood as a testament to 'Indeed by Zee's mission to make Pakistan a vibrant global stage for art, culture, and creative exchange. With its signature excellence, the organisation continues to strengthen artistic diplomacy by producing world-class cultural experiences that unite people through music, movement, and mutual respect.

'Indeed by Zee' CEO M Zamar Butt, expressed gratitude to PNCA, the Embassy of Spain, Flamenco Barcelona, and Malik Arshad for their support in creating what he called a night that redefined cultural collaboration. Butt said that the collaboration was not just about performance but about connecting traditions and celebrating the universal rhythm of art.

Flamenco's journey through Pakistan did not end in Islamabad. Last week, the Spanish artists had brought the same Andalusian rhythm to Peshawar, performing at the historic Nishtar Hall under the management of the K-P Tourism and Culture Department and with support from the Culture and Tourism Authority (K-PCTA).

The mesmerising Andalusian folk dance and musical performance recreated the spirit of 18th-century flamenco — a cultural fusion of civilisations combining song, dance, and guitar to express human emotions, love, and passion.

The performance, featuring guitar, flute, and rhythmic dance, delighted the audience and marked the revival of international cultural activities at the iconic venue after many decades.

At the close of the Peshawar show, the Spanish artists were presented with traditional Chitrali shawls and caps as a gesture of hospitality — a fitting finale to a week that brought Spain's timeless rhythm to Pakistan's artistic heart.
