Schoolgirl, youth lose lives in separate incidents

ABBOTTABAD:

Two people died and two others were injured in separate incidents in Abbottabad on Saturday evening, police and rescue officials said.

In the first incident, a 10th-grade student lost her life after falling from a faulty boat swing at Harno Park. According to police, the victim, identified as Aiman — a student of Government Higher Secondary School Nawanshahr and a resident of Chunakari village — was with friends when the tragedy occurred.

Witnesses said the swing, described as a "dilapidated flying boat," began to wobble while in motion, causing Aiman to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

She died on the spot. Her body was shifted to DHQ Hospital, where she was identified after a six-hour search for her family.
