Pak diplomats get new assignments

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made a series of major appointments and transfers across its headquarters and various diplomatic missions abroad.
According to sources, Pakistan's newly appointed ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Shafqat Ali Khan, has arrived in Abu Dhabi and assumed his duties. Pakistan's new Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has also taken charge of his responsibilities in Moscow.
Sources said that former ambassador to Russia Khalid Khan Jamali has been appointed as additional foreign secretary (administration) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
