Epic Games and 20th Animation have officially launched a long-anticipated crossover between Fortnite and The Simpsons. The collaboration introduces a special month-long “Springfield Island” Battle Royale season, allowing players to experience Fortnite through the world of the iconic animated series.

According to Epic Games, the new season, titled Fortnite Crashes into Springfield, features an 80-player map and promises “a fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience.” Throughout November, gameplay will evolve weekly, offering new challenges and unlockable content tied to The Simpsons universe.

Players can access a themed “Springfield Battle Pass” that includes skins inspired by Homer, Marge, and Ned Flanders, along with crossover designs such as Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely. Alternate versions like “Evil Homer” and “Witch Marge” from Treehouse of Horror are also available.

The collaboration additionally debuts Fortnite’s first “Sidekick,” named Peels, which can be unlocked via the Springfield Battle Pass. More sidekicks will be released starting November 7 through the in-game shop.

The cel-shaded Springfield Island map features recognizable locations, including the Kwik-E-Mart, Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger, the Simpsons’ house, and Mr. Burns’ Nuclear Power Plant. To accompany the release, four short animated episodes co-produced by Epic Games and Gracie Films will air weekly throughout November on Disney+ and Fortnite’s social channels.

The titles of the four shorts — Apocalypse D’oh (Nov. 1), Sugar High (Nov. 10), Multiplidiocy (Nov. 17), and The Incredible Bulk (Nov. 24) — will correspond with weekly gameplay updates.

Additionally, Rocket League will host its own The Simpsons event through November 17, offering themed rewards such as the Blinky Topper and Homer’s Hedges Player Banner.

Epic Games’ partnership with Disney, which invested $1.5 billion in the gaming company last year, continues to expand. The deal aims to create a shared digital universe featuring franchises like Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and Avatar, powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine.
