Sydney Sweeney attended Variety’s 2025 Power of Women event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 29, where she was honoured alongside Kate Hudson, Wanda Sykes, Nicole Scherzinger and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The ceremony took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel and celebrated women making significant contributions across entertainment and philanthropy.

The Euphoria star arrived in a sheer silver gown designed by Christian Cowan in collaboration with Elias Matso.

The crystal-encrusted piece, from Cowan’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, featured a twisted waist design and transparent fabric that caught the light throughout the evening. Sweeney complemented the look with a sleek blonde bob, nude lipstick and soft, rosy makeup.

Her appearance followed an interview published by Variety on October 27, in which Sweeney reflected on early career criticism and her commitment to maintaining her natural appearance. “I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16,” she said.

The actress added that she has never undergone cosmetic procedures, explaining, “I’ve never gotten anything done. I’m absolutely terrified of needles. No tattoos. Nothing. I’m going to age gracefully.”

She also addressed her public image, noting, “When people think, ‘Ah, she’s a sex symbol,’ or ‘She’s leaning into that,’ I’m like, ‘No, I just feel good and I’m doing it for myself and I feel strong.’”

Sweeney concluded that she hopes to inspire other women to embrace self-confidence and authenticity. “I hope that I can inspire other women to be confident and just flaunt what they got and feel good because you shouldn’t have to apologise or hide or cover up in any room,” she said.

The annual event continues to recognise influential women from film, music, and television for their work both on and off screen.
