Michael David Booth, the YouTuber known online as “Mr. Crafty Pants,” has been arrested in Louisville, Kentucky, on multiple child pornography-related charges, according to local reports.

Authorities say Booth, who runs a popular YouTube channel with nearly 600,000 subscribers, was taken into custody last week after allegedly possessing and distributing sexual images of minors. The investigation began when the messaging platform Kik flagged suspicious activity tied to his account, later traced to his home address through an IP match.

According to an arrest report obtained by Wave News, investigators discovered six explicit images in Booth’s possession, including three depicting children under 12. He allegedly shared the images more than 15 times in early August.

Booth, who also has a large following on Instagram and Facebook, is known for posting DIY craft tutorials and design content. His social media pages feature instructional videos on custom projects, which have now been inundated with comments following news of his arrest.

He has been charged with possession and distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. During his arraignment on Thursday, Booth’s bond was set at $150,000, and he was ordered to remain on home detention without internet access if released.

Booth’s next court appearance is scheduled for Friday. The allegations have sparked shock among his online followers and raised renewed concerns over child safety and content moderation on major social media platforms.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the ongoing investigation.
