The water supply to Karachi was suspended on Tuesday when the main supply line of the Old Pumping Station burst due to sudden power breakdown at around 12 am.
Ten million gallons of water are supplied to Karachi daily through this pipeline.
The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board said that they are repairing it and the supply can only be restored once the pipe is fixed as motors have been shut down for repairs.
The water supply to Gharo Town has also stopped.
