South African singer Tyla marked the release of her new single “Chanel” with a private brunch in Los Angeles, hosted under the theme “Put Her in Chanel.” The event took place at Chez Mia in West Hollywood on Thursday, October 23, ahead of the single’s official release on Friday.

Around 25 guests, including journalists, influencers and cast members from the “Chanel” music video, were welcomed with individual white roses featuring personalised notes.

Guests also received Chanel compact mirrors, which could be engraved on-site. The brunch included a bouquet bar where flowers were placed in white paper Chanel bags.

“I’m here to spoil the girls. I’m putting you all in Chanel today,” said Tyla during a champagne toast. Wearing an oversized Chanel T-shirt and layered gold chain, she added, “This song’s very special. Not only is it about getting spoiled and getting treated like our worth, it’s also just a statement. It’s for the girls. We know our worth. We are who we are. We know what we bring to the table. So come to the table.”

Tyla previewed “Chanel” during her Global Citizen Festival 2025 performance in New York. The single follows her WWP EP, which peaked at No. 11 on World Albums. In recent months, she has featured on several high-profile projects, including Jackboys 2 with Vybz Kartel, Cardi B’s Am I The Drama?, and Lojay’s XOXO.

“Chanel” continues Tyla’s collaboration with the luxury brand, after appearances at Paris Fashion Week and the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year.
