Unlike the original single-player experience, this version introduces multiplayer gameplay with proximity voice chat, meaning your teammates can only hear you if they’re nearby.
Every sound you make matters: talking too loudly, laughing, or even sneezing can count as a “scream” and trigger in-game consequences.
Depending on the chosen mode, a scream could either restart the game for everyone or turn the loud player into the hunter who chases the rest.
The gameplay revolves around exploring the forest with a camcorder, collecting batteries, uncovering secrets, and surviving jump scares that are randomized for each session. Time in the game only moves when players move, heightening the sense of dread and immersion.
The developers describe Don’t Scream Together as a “social experiment in terror,” blending teamwork and tension in an environment where silence is survival.
