Victoria Beckham reflects on marriage with David Beckham amid old cheating allegations
Victoria Beckham discusses how she and husband David Beckham overcame public scrutiny over affair rumours

Victoria Beckham has spoken about her marriage to David Beckham and how the couple have endured decades of public speculation, including long-standing rumours of infidelity.
Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast on October 22, the fashion designer addressed how she and her husband have navigated constant media attention throughout their 26-year marriage.
“We were talking about it because we've recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary,” she said. “People said it wouldn’t work 26 years. We’ve always just been there together and just ridden the storm.”
Her remarks come over two decades after allegations surfaced in 2004 when former personal assistant Rebecca Loos claimed she had an affair with the footballer. David Beckham dismissed the claims at the time, calling them “ludicrous,” while Loos insisted she could prove the relationship occurred.
The controversy was revisited in David Beckham’s 2023 Netflix documentary Beckham, which explored how the allegations affected the couple. “It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage,” David said. Victoria added that the experience “felt like the world was against us,” admitting it was the “hardest period” of their relationship.
Speaking earlier this month to Elle, Victoria reflected on their shared growth over the years. “So often in relationships, one will say to the other, ‘You’ve changed.’ Well, of course you’ve changed,” she said. “He believed in me when a lot of people didn’t. At times I’ve been a laughingstock, but he always believed in me.”
Victoria and David Beckham married in 1999 and have four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. Despite ongoing public scrutiny, the couple continue to present a united front both personally and professionally.
