K-P forms panel to probe dengue spread
.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has constituted a special committee under the chairmanship of Member Provincial Assembly and Incharge Chief Minister's Complaint Cell, Samiullah, to investigate the causes behind the spread of dengue virus in Peshawar and identify officials responsible for negligence.
The committee will submit its report to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi within three days.
To control the dengue situation, assistant commissioners will supervise anti-dengue teams at the tehsil level. These teams will include local representatives, health department officials, WSSP staff, entomologists, and municipal workers. An emergency has been declared in 20 high-risk union councils, for which separate teams have also been formed.
All government hospitals have been directed to allocate special beds for dengue patients, while a separate micro plan will be prepared for each union council.
