Police vow to deport illegal Afghan residents

Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana has said that repatriation of Afghan nationals residing in the city without legal documents would be ensured strictly in accordance with the government policy.
Chairing a meeting, he directed that all relevant police divisions coordinate closely to identify and facilitate the deportation process without delay.
"We are committed to implementing the government's directive regarding the return of undocumented Afghan residents," Kamyana said.
He also ordered continuation of a city-wide operation against illegal arms. Senior supervisory officers were directed to lead search operations targeting individuals and groups possessing unlicensed firearms.
"All legally owned weapons must be registered within one month at Police Khidmat Markaz," the CCPO said, warning of punitive action against those who fail to comply.
The off8cial also ordered a crackdown on display of arms. He stressed the need for leveraging both human intelligence and surveillance technology to ensure public safety.
"Our objective is to rid Lahore of illegal weapons and safeguard the lives and property of citizens," he said.
