Nicki Minaj defends Britney Spears amid Kevin Federline memoir allegations
Nicki Minaj publicly supports Britney Spears after Kevin Federline’s memoir accuses the singer of misconduct

Nicki Minaj has spoken out in defense of Britney Spears following recent claims made by Kevin Federline in his new memoir You Thought You Knew. The book, released this month, contains several allegations about Federline’s past marriage to Spears, including claims of inappropriate behavior around their two sons. Spears has publicly denied the accusations, describing them as “extremely hurtful and exhausting.”
In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), Spears criticized her ex-husband for what she called “constant gaslighting,” adding that she had “pleaded and screamed to have a life” with their sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19. The pop star’s remarks drew widespread support online, with fans and celebrities rallying behind her. Among them was rapper Nicki Minaj, who reposted Spears’ statement and directly addressed Federline in a strongly worded message. In a now-deleted post captured by DeuxMoi on Instagram, Minaj wrote, “KEVIN FEDERLINE, B****, WHEN I CATCH [YOU].”
Minaj’s comments come amid her own recent online disputes, including a high-profile exchange with fellow rapper Cardi B. Despite ongoing controversies, the “Anaconda” artist’s show of support for Spears highlighted her willingness to publicly defend fellow performers facing scrutiny.
In You Thought You Knew, Federline, 47, also discusses Spears’ relationship with her father, Jamie Spears, calling him a “flawed man” who acted “from a good place” during the conservatorship but “ruined a lot of things.” A representative for Spears dismissed Federline’s book as an attempt to “profit off her,” though he maintains it was written to tell his side of their story, similar to Spears’ 2023 memoir The Woman in Me.
As Spears continues to reconnect with her sons, who live with Federline in Hawai‘i, the ongoing public dispute between the former spouses remains under close media attention.
