Mouse: P.I. For Hire showcases hand-drawn style in new trailer before upcoming deep dive event
Fumi Games has unveiled a new trailer for Mouse: P.I. For Hire, showcasing its hand-drawn visuals and 1930s aesthetic

Publisher PlaySide and developer Fumi Games unveiled a new behind-the-scenes gameplay trailer for Mouse: P.I. For Hire during IGN Fall Fan Fest 2025.
The latest footage highlights the game’s distinctive hand-drawn visuals, which merge the art style of early Disney cartoons with the fast-paced action of classic first-person shooters like Doom.
The trailer offers fans a glimpse into Fumi Games’ creative process, showcasing detailed animation work and character design inspired by 1920s and 1930s cartoons.
Viewers were treated to fresh looks at several in-game locations, weapons, and characters ahead of the title’s planned 2025 release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
“It’s hand-crafted entertainment full of love, made for real people, by real people,” the Mouse: P.I. For Hire team said in the video.
The presentation at IGN Fall Fan Fest serves as a preview for a deeper look at the project. Fumi Games confirmed that a full making-of feature will debut during the upcoming ID@Xbox showcase on October 28, followed by the official release date reveal during the Galaxies Gaming Showcase on October 23, which will stream via IGN.
Originally teased in 2023 under the working title Mouse, the game received its full title Mouse: P.I. For Hire during its re-reveal in late 2024.
The developers also announced that actor Troy Baker, known for his roles in The Last of Us and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will voice the lead character, detective Jack Pepper.
Fumi Games says the project represents a blend of vintage animation and modern shooter design, aiming to deliver a unique visual and narrative experience when it launches next year.
