RAWALPINDI:

The Excise Department has centralised the system used for correcting various technical errors in the registration and sale of all types of vehicles to transfer to another owner.

Following the centralisation, all such technical errors will be corrected by the Lahore head office. However, vehicle owners have expressed dissatisfaction with the move.

In the past month, online complaints and requests for correction of 70 technical errors were sent from the Rawalpindi Excise Department office to the PITB, the IT department of the Excise Department Lahore. Out of these, only 5 could be corrected.
