Kevin Federline is raising serious concerns about Britney Spears in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, set to release next Tuesday.

The former backup dancer and ex-husband of the pop icon claims Britney has been struggling since the end of her conservatorship, suggesting her situation is worsening.

According to excerpts obtained by The New York Times, Federline writes, “The truth is, this situation with Britney feels like it’s racing toward something irreversible. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”

In his book, Federline reflects on his tumultuous marriage and custody battle with Spears over their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He recalls moments from their childhood, alleging that the boys were once afraid to return to their mother’s home. “They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — with a knife in her hand,” he writes.

Federline insists his goal has always been to support his children’s bond with their mother. “I’ve never, ever, once, been against Britney,” he told the Times. “I’ve only tried to help my sons have an incredible relationship with their mother. My kids do not know the woman that I married, and I’ve spent two decades trying to bridge that gap.”

While Spears has not responded to Federline’s claims, his memoir reignites public concern over the singer’s well-being and the ongoing impact of her post-conservatorship life.
