RAWALPINDI:

Complete road closures for three consecutive days and partial openings on Sunday severely disrupted daily life in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, with business activities coming to a halt and essential food prices reaching record highs.

The price of vegetables and fruits skyrocketed, breaking all previous records.

The long-standing tradition of vegetable sellers offering free coriander and green chilies with purchases has ended after a hundred years.
