D4vd has made major real estate changes as police continue to investigate the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body was discovered in his Tesla last month.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 19-year-old singer transferred ownership of two Houston-area homes to his mother.

The properties, previously held under a trust in his name, were signed over on September 18 and September 22.

September 18 was also the same day police responded to a swatting incident at one of the homes. The caller reportedly used a voice-masking device and falsely claimed there had been a shooting and a female victim at the residence.

When officers arrived, they were greeted by D4vd’s parents, who told police that his younger brother and sister were upstairs. Reports suggest that D4vd’s family had already been living in one of the properties prior to the transfer.

Just one day earlier, on September 17, the LAPD executed a search warrant at a Los Angeles rental home where D4vd had been living.

Authorities continue to investigate Rivas’ death, which they describe as “shocking.” The 14-year-old, who was reported missing from her Lake Elsinore, California home in early 2024, was found deceased in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd. Officials believe she may have been dead for several weeks before being discovered.

Since the discovery, D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, has canceled the remainder of his tour and postponed the deluxe release of his album Withered.

He has not made a public appearance or statement since the investigation began.
