ISLAMABAD:

The Senate session on Thursday witnessed chaos and loud protests by PTI lawmakers as they demanded the resignation of Deputy Chairman Syedaal Khan Nasar, disrupting proceedings and preventing completion of the day's agenda.

The session, presided over by deputy chairman began with fateha for the soldiers martyred in an operation against India-sponsored terrorists in Orakzai.

However, tensions erupted soon after PTI Senator Humayun Khan Mohmand took the floor, declaring that he had "no confidence" in the chair. "As acting chairman, you have lost our trust. You should step down," Mohmand demanded.

Following his remarks, PTI senators began chanting slogans, including "Syedal Nasir resign!" and "Go Syedal Nasir go!" They thumped desks and surrounded the chair in protest.

PPP senators were absent, continuing their boycott in protest against recent remarks made by the Punjab CM against their party.
