The National Database and Registration Authority has opened new facilitation counters in four countries to provide better services to overseas Pakistanis.

According to a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) spokesperson, the counters have been established at Pakistani embassies in Montreal and Vancouver in Canada, Milan in Italy, Manama in Bahrain, and Amman in Jordan.

The spokesperson added that a counter in Rome will also become operational soon.

NADRA, the official said, is continuously upgrading and digitising its systems to improve service delivery. Pakistani citizens abroad can also use the authority’s “Pak Identity” mobile application to process various identification services remotely, including online appointments and document renewal.

On the other hand, NADRA has recently introduced a series of reforms aimed at improving citizen services and data accuracy. On the directives of the interior ministry, the authority has made CNIC cancellation after death free of charge, helping families avoid complications in inheritance and pension claims.

The authority has also expanded its digital ecosystem through the “Pak Identity” mobile application, which allows citizens to renew identity cards, verify biometrics, and access key services remotely. The app’s “Proof of Life” feature, launched this year, enables pensioners facing fingerprint issues to verify their status online without visiting NADRA offices.
