Cardi B and Nicki Minaj’s ongoing feud has escalated further this week, with the latest round of insults drawing their children into the conflict.
What began as criticism of music and chart success has spiralled into deeply personal territory, prompting widespread reaction online.
The latest spat follows Nicki Minaj’s pointed remarks about Cardi B’s Billboard achievements where she mocked her album sales, with her now referring to Cardi as "Cokey B" and "Bodega Barney".
Minaj also mocked Cardi’s lyrics, sparking a series of heated exchanges. In one of her most inflammatory tweets, Minaj wrote “Barney B & Kulture vulture,” directly referencing Cardi’s daughter, before adding “Kulture vulture you ugly too.”

Cardi B responded with several tweets of her own, criticising Minaj for dedicating long posts to her on her son’s birthday. Cardi accused Minaj of harbouring jealousy and of unnecessarily involving children in their professional rivalry.
The feud intensified further when Cardi referenced unverified claims about Minaj’s son, known affectionately as “Papa Bear.”

Earlier tweets from Cardi also highlighted frustrations with Minaj’s longevity in the industry, comparing her career trajectory unfavourably with artists like Taylor Swift and Rihanna. She remarked that Minaj’s behaviour was disappointing given her 16 years in music, noting that she herself was still in high school when Minaj began her career.
What began as sharp commentary on chart positions and artistry has now shifted into personal accusations and family-related insults, a direction that risks overshadowing the music that brought both stars global fame.
