Demi Lovato has confirmed their return to the Camp Rock franchise with a new behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Camp Rock 3.
The singer and actor shared the image on social media with the caption, “this is me (in my producer era),” signaling a dual role in front of and behind the camera.
The original Camp Rock debuted in 2008 on Disney Channel, quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon and launching the careers of Lovato and the Jonas Brothers. Its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, premiered in 2010, solidifying the franchise’s popularity among a generation of fans. More than a decade later, Camp Rock 3 is now officially in production, with Lovato taking on expanded responsibilities.
While plot details remain under wraps, Lovato’s involvement as a producer suggests the new installment will introduce a fresh perspective while honoring the original films. Their post has already sparked excitement among fans who grew up with the franchise, many of whom expressed anticipation for both the music and storylines that defined the earlier movies.
The project is being developed in partnership with Disney, though no official release date has been announced. With production underway, more casting news and promotional material are expected in the coming months.
Camp Rock 3 will mark a significant return for Demi Lovato to the beloved franchise, blending nostalgia with a new creative vision for longtime fans and a new generation of viewers.
