ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and MNA Sahibzada Hamid Raza has resigned from his position as Information Secretary of the opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan (TTAP).

Raza announced his resignation following an emergency meeting of the Sunni Ittehad Council. He said the decision was taken in line with party instructions and that the alliance's spokesperson, Akhunzada Hussain, has been formally informed.

"I have stepped down as TTIP's Information Secretary in accordance with party directives," Raza said, adding that he has already notified the relevant quarters.
